Stoyan Paskov
Stoyan Paskov is currently 20 years old and is studying the 3rd year of his Law degree at the University of Zaragoza and the 3rd year at the Higher Conservatory of Music of Aragon under the tutelage of Anders Clemens Øien.
He started playing the guitar when he was 8 years old as a self-taught person. During his studies at the Zaragoza Professional Conservatory of Music he obtained honors in several disciplines each year. Since November 2016, he has been part of the international organization Musethica and participates in their concerts in different locations.
He was selected as First Classifier of the Aragon Autonomous Phase of the 15th Professional Grade Intercentros Melómano (December 2016). For 4 consecutive years, he won First Prize in the APA “Pilar Bayona” Musical Works Interpretation Contest in different categories. Likewise, he received First Prize at the Alhambra International Guitar Competition in Valencia (November 2017). Won First Prize at the First Lexus Music Excellence Awards (July 2018); First Prize in the Peace on Earth Campaign (February 2019); First Prize in the Villa de Alagón Talent Contest (April 2019); and First Prize in the Gredos San Diego International Guitar Competition, Madrid (May 2019) and First Prize in the “Salvador García” Gandía Guitar Competition (July 2019). He is also the winner of the Soloist Competition of the Higher Conservatory of Music of Aragon (January 2022) and of the I Chamber Music Competition of this same center (April 2022). In December 2021, he won the First Prize in the Superior Grade of the 20th Intercentros Melómano, thus becoming the first and only winner of his two categories in the entire history of the contest, after having obtained the First Prize in the Professional Grade of the 18th Intercentros Music lover (December 2019).
In October 2020, he debuted at the National Auditorium performing the Aranjuez Concerto by Joaquín Rodrigo.
He has received master classes from prestigious international artists such as Pedro Mateo González, Avri Levitan, Fernando Arias, Gabriel Bianco, Atanas Ourkouzounov, Rossen Balkanski, Nicolla Montella, José María Bailo Abuelo, Judicaël Perroy, Niklas Johansen, Arnaud Dumond, Simone Iannarelli, Luis Regidor, Andrea Roberto, Anders Clemens Øien and Alí Arango.
Currently, Stoyan plays a guitar by luthier Vicente Carrillo.
