Santiago García

Baritone from Malaga born in 1975. He completed his musical training at the "Manuel Carra" Professional Conservatory of Music in Malaga under the tutelage of tenor Francisco Heredia and soprano Teresa Loring.

As a soloist, since 2010 he has performed various opera and zarzuela recitals throughout the Andalusian territory and participated in the Lyrical Seasons of the Teatro Cervantes in Malaga, Teatro España in Huelva and Teatro Florida in Algeciras. Together with the Malaga Philharmonic Orchestra (OFM), his solo participation in the zarzuela La Marsellesa stands out, the 25th anniversary Gala of the reopening of the Cervantes Theater, and Mozart's "Coronation" Mass in the Cathedral of Malaga. Likewise, his performances in roles such as Baron Zeta in the operetta The Merry Widow (Lehar), or Schaunard in the opera La Boheme (Puccini) are notable.

Currently, he is completing higher studies in Pedagogy at the University of Malaga. He has worked under the direction of directors such as Octav Calleya, Pedro Halffter, Alfredo Alarcón, Edmon Colomer, Lorenzo Ramos, Arturo Díez, Francisco José Escobar and Rafael Álvarez, and stage directors such as Francisco Matilla and Francisco Carreres.
