ENTREGA DEL PREMIO DEL I CONCURSO DE COMPOSICIÓN RAMÓN ROLDAN DE LA MANO DEL PROPIO COMPOSITOR

AWARDING THE PRIZE OF THE I RAMÓN ROLDAN COMPOSITION COMPETITION BY THE COMPOSER HIMSELF

Last Monday, the award ceremony took place at the Málaga Superior Conservatory of Music to the winner of the I "Ramón Roldán" Composition Competition organized by the Association of Composers and Performers of Malaga (ACIM) and the Iberian Sinfonietta orchestra.

The composer and President of the jury, Ramón Roldán Samiñán , who was Professor of Composition at the Malaga conservatory for 38 years and to whom this competition is dedicated, personally presented the prize to the winner of this first edition, the second year student Sergio Pastor González (1985) with the work Dimensiones , whose premiere will take place during the next season of the Comunity Concerts 22-23 that Iberian Sinfonietta performs every year at the Peace Palace in Fuengirola .

Present at the award ceremony (following the photo from left to right) were Juan Paulo Gómez as Musical and Artistic Director of Iberian Sinfonietta , the composer Alejandro Cano Palomo as President of ACIM , Sergio Pastor González as winner of the competition, Ramón Roldán Samiñán as President of the jury and Javier García Moreno as Director of the Superior Conservatory of Music of Málaga and host of the award ceremony.
