THE PROVINCIAL GRAND LODGE OF ANDALUSIA JOINS THE II RAMÓN ROLDÁN COMPOSITION COMPETITION AS PRIZER

The Provincial Grand Lodge of Andalusia joins as a collaborator of the II RAMÓN ROLDAN COMPOSITION COMPETITION . This initiative was launched last season by the Association of Composers and Performers of Malaga (ACIM) and the Iberian Sinfonietta orchestra as a result of a collaboration agreement between both institutions with the aim of promoting the premiere of newly created works and helping the young composers. As a novelty, this edition will also have the support and collaboration of Miotta&Molière , a project company in the cultural and publishing sector.
This collaboration agreement took place last Thursday, in which Shaun Parsons-Herrera participated, in his capacity as current Grand Master of the Provincial Grand Lodge of Andalusia , and Juan Paulo Gómez , musical and artistic director of Iberian Sinfonietta .
The competition will be held in the month of May 2023 and will be held on Málaga Superior Conservatory of Music , where Ramón Roldán Samiñán He was Professor of Composition for 38 years. This Award offers our young people a wealth of opportunities for their artistic projection, supports talent and promotes an art such as Music. It is at this point that Andalusian Freemasonry comes onto the scene, providing the contest with a prize of €500 that will be added to those that were already in the contest rules.
The Provincial Grand Lodge of Andalusia , belonging to the Grand Lodge of Spain-Grande Oriente Español , brings together the Lodges that work in the Autonomous Community of Andalusia, within which Masons live the values ​​of a Masonic legacy that transcends languages ​​and borders. In this sense, feeling fully identified with the philanthropic and patronage values ​​that the contest promotes, the institution has decided to support this initiative by contributing this amount to the winner of the contest.
