Salvador Raya Castellano
Young violinist pedagogue who began his career as a teacher in Germany. Since his return in 2020 as a professor at the "Victoria Eugenia" Royal Conservatory of Music in Granada, his hometown, as well as at the "Katarina Gurska" Higher Center in Madrid, his students have won awards in different national and international competitions, such as the Germany's National Musical Youth Competition, and are invited to prestigious Central European schools by mentors from the Berlin Philharmonic, laureates of the Menuhin Competition or Gewandhaus concertmasters.
After working as assistant concertmaster with artists such as Sabine Meyer, Emmanuel Tjeknavorian, Gerhard Schulz/Alban Berg Quartet and in venues such as the Philharmonie Berlin, Juan Salvador was able to begin an orchestral career in the first violins of the Stuttgart Philharmonic. However, his love for pedagogy led him to take a teaching position in the German city of Jena. Today, some of his students from this period are winners of the National Musical Youth Competition of Germany and continue to attend classes in Madrid.
The year 2023 includes invitations to master classes at higher schools such as Hochschule für Musik Nürnberg, Musikhochschule Münster or Forum Musikae. He is also invited to juries such as the Federal Musical Youth Competition of Germany or the Katarina Gurska Scholarship.
Juan Salvador's priority is the preparation of students for access to the world of work or prestigious European schools.
