Roberto Rumenov Iliev
Son of a musical family, he began his piano studies in 2006 in his homeland, Bulgaria, entering the conservatory the following year in Madrid with very good grades and praise.
In 2009 he was admitted to the “Dimitar Berbatov” Foundation for talented children in Bulgaria, performing numerous concerts and events in Sofia that year, and in 2010 he entered the “Lyubomir Pipkov” Musical College, where he studied until 2012 with excellent grades. That same year he was awarded a distinction by the Bankya City Council (Bulgaria) for his cultural contributions. Starting in 2012, he continued his piano studies at the Escuela Mes Musica in Palma de Mallorca and entered the Professional Conservatory of Music and Dance of Mallorca in 20213 with excellent grades.
He has received master classes from the pianists Iván Cítera, Antonia Boneva, Nelson Delle-Vigne Fabbri, Piotr Folkert, Bartomeu Jaume Bauzá, Chin Chuan Chang, Minnie Man Ho and Márta Gulyás.
Among the different awards and recognitions he has received, it is worth highlighting the First Prize (Category B) in the XIII Contest for Young Performers of SSMM of Sóller (Mallorca), Award for the "Best interpretation of a Majorcan author" and the "Artendis" Award in the XX International Rotary Club Palma Ramón LLULL Piano Competition, Second Prize in the musicality (youth level) in the XXXVI City of Linares “Marisa Montiel” Piano Competition, First Prize in the Agruparte Competition organized by the CIEM “Federico Moreno Torroba” of Madrid, First Prize in the VIII Young Performers Competition "Ciudad de Cuenca" ", Third prize (Category D) at the Orbetello Piano Competition Junior (Orbetello), First Prize and ''Jena Pang'' Prize at the IX International Music Competition AMIGDALA (Sicily), Special Prize “Pilar Amo Vázquez” at the XXXIX Competition National Young Pianists “Ciudad de Albacete”, First Prize, Special Prize for the Best Performer of Iberian Music, Hinves Special Prize for the Best Pianist, Special Prize “Fundacja Talenty Muzyczne Europy” for the best pianist and Sanimusic Special Prize at the 19th Intercentros Melómano de Higher Degree, as well as the Second Prize and Special Prize “Pilar Amo Vázquez” in the XXXX National Young Pianists Competition “Ciudad de Albacete”.
He has performed concerts both nationally and internationally, highlighting those held at the Cathedral of the Sagrada Familia in Barcelona, where he accompanied the Young Orchestra of Mallorca and the Adult Choir of Mallorca, at the Madrid Music Hall as well as collaborations with orchestras such as National Youth Orchestra of Spain (JONDE) under the baton of Jaime Martín.
