Martha Fitzsimmons

Born in Málaga, she began her studies at the “Gonzalo Martín Tenllado” Professional Conservatory of Music in the specialty of Clarinet, with Professor Santiago Martínez Abad, and completed her higher studies at the Málaga Superior Conservatory of Music with Professor José María Puyana , at the same time that he obtained a diploma from the University of Malaga in Musical Education. Upon completing these studies, she completed a Master's Degree in Interpretation with Professor Nancy Braithwaite at Codarts (Rotterdam University of the Arts), in addition to specializing in requinto with Professor Jan Jansen.

He has received master classes from teachers of the stature of Yehuda Gilad, José Luis Estellés, Javier Trigos, Julien Hervé, Pascal Moragues, Laura Ruíz, Andreas Sunden, Henri Bok and Davide Lattuada.

Likewise, his passion for chamber music stands out, having participated in various music festivals, including the Eurochestries Festival, held in Sobral (Brazil), the Piantón International Music Festival, in Asturias, the “Mendelssohn” International Music Festival ”, held in Hamburg (Germany) or the Málaga Clásica festival.

He has been a member of different orchestras, such as the Netherlands Youth Orchestra (NJO), the Neue Philharmonie Munchen orchestra (Munich, Germany), the Ceuta Symphony Orchestra or the Galamian Orchestra (Málaga), in addition to collaborating regularly with the Orchestra Malaga Philharmonic. On the other hand, he obtained a scholarship for three years as a member of the Malaga Municipal Music Band. He has also performed concerts in prestigious European venues such as Herkulessaal in Munich, Tonhalle in Zurich, De Doelen in Rotterdam, Stadhalle in Kassel or Muziekgebouw in Amsterdam.

Currently, she is Professor of Clarinet at the Royal Conservatory of Music “Victoria Eugenia” in Granada, in addition to continuing her passion for chamber music groups with different groups.
