Manuel Valero

Born in Malaga, he began his musical studies in the “Miraflores-Gibraljaire” Youth Music Band.

Among his teachers, it is worth highlighting Fco. Manuel Puyana, Antonio Lozano and Joaquín Osca and he has received classes from bassoonists of the stature of Enrique Abargues, David Tomás, Akio Koyama, Alberto Reig, Javier Aragó, Marco Postinguel, Sergio Azzolini, among others. .

He has been a member, among other groups, of the Andalusian Youth Orchestra, Malaga Provincial Symphony Orchestra, Alhambra City Orchestra, Granada Baroque Orchestra, etc., as well as various chamber music groups.

He has collaborated with orchestras of the stature of the Young Orchestra of Galicia, the Malaga Philharmonic Orchestra, the City of Granada Orchestra, the Córdoba Orchestra, the Royal Symphony Orchestra of Seville, the Cádiz Orchestra, the City of Almería Orchestra, etc.

In parallel with his musical studies, he has completed university studies at the University of Granada, being a Master in Musical Education, a Bachelor in Music History and Sciences, a Master in Musical Heritage and a Higher Degree in Musical Pedagogy from the Higher Conservatory of Music of Granada.

He has been a bassoon teacher by competitive examination since 2002, having taught at the Royal Conservatory of Music “Victoria Eugenia” in Granada and the Conservatory of Music “Andrés de Vandelvira” in Jaén.

He is currently a professor at the “Ángel Barrios” Professional Conservatory of Music in Granada.
