Juan Ramón Hernández Leiva

Born in Benalmádena (Málaga), he began his musical studies in Salamanca under the tutelage of Mª del Carmen Collado, concluding them with Mª Pilar García-Gallardo with the Intermediate Grade Final Prize and an Orchestra Prize with the performance of a solo concerto with the orchestra. from the center.

That same year he joined the Youth Orchestra and Youth Symphonic Band of Castilla y León, of which he was a founding member, as well as the Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid. In 2009 she concluded her harp studies at the Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid with honors and a Bachelor's Degree Award with congratulations from the court.

As a performer he has offered recitals in Madrid, Verona, Rabat, Palencia, Salamanca, Barcelona, ​​Valladolid, Seville...

He has been awarded twice in the Arpa plus competition for harp students and once in the UFAM competition in Paris, as well as a TIM finalist in 2008. In 2011 he received the Miguel Ángel Colmenero Foundation award as the best performer of the year.

Being part of the board of directors of the Philarmonía Orchestra, he was declared Exemplary Spanish, for his defense and promotion of Spanish music.

As a soloist he has performed concertos for harp and orchestra with the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Castilla y León, Iberian Sinfonietta, Young Orchestra of the Professional Conservatory of Salamanca, Camerata Caja Duero Orchestra, Philharmonic Orchestra of Palencia, Camerata Barroca de Madrid, Torrevieja Symphony Orchestra, etc

The composer Olivia Carrión Arteta and Mª Rosa Calvo-Manzano have dedicated some of their works to him.
