Javier Tuñón

He studied at the Royal Conservatory of Music of Madrid and the School of Music of Barcelona, ​​under the tutelage of Professor Antonio García Araque. He continues his training through the Master of Instrumental Performance in the “Ludwig Streicher” Double Bass Classroom of the School of Creative Music of Madrid, taught by teachers Damián Arenas and Ernst Weissensteiner. He also attended different improvement courses, receiving advice from distinguished double bassists such as Manuel Herrero, Roberto Terrón, Franco Petracchi, Thierry Barbé, Gary Karr and Thomas Martin.

He has collaborated with numerous orchestral groups, including the Spanish Radio Television Symphony Orchestra, the Castilla y León Symphony Orchestra, the Orchestra and Choir of the Community of Madrid, the Chamber Orchestra of the Zaragoza Auditorium-Grupo Enigma, the Maestrazgo Chamber Orchestra, the Burgos Symphony Orchestra or the Partiture Philharmonic Orchestra. Thanks to this, he has worked under the direction of Adrian Leaper, Walter Weller, Vasily Petrenko, Lionel Bringuier, José Ramón Encinar, Juan José Olives, Miquel Ortega, Javier Castro Villamor and Juan Paulo Gómez Hurtado, musical and artistic director of this project.

Parallel to his interpretive side, for years he has been developing his teaching work, also a vocational performance that has led him to teach classes in centers in the provinces of Lérida, Albacete, Cuenca, Córdoba, Jaén and Granada.
