Damián Sánchez

Born in 1997 in La Línea de la Concepción (Cádiz). He began his musical studies of the cello at the age of 10 at the “Muñoz Molleda” Professional Conservatory of Music in his city, later expanding them at the Superior Conservatory of Music in Málaga under the tutelage of Trinidad José Zurita.

During his musical career he has received classes from prestigious cellists and pedagogues such as María Casado, Francisco Pastor Sempere, María del Carmen Coronado, Pavel Gomzyakov, Asier Polo, Alfonso Gutiérrez and Marco Scano, Petr Zejfart in a Chamber Music course, as well as with Helena Colina at the First Meeting of Young Orchestras of the “Helena Colina” Foundation.

In his orchestral career he has worked with various orchestras: "Muñoz Molleda" Youth Orchestra, "Amigos de la Música" Youth Lyric Orchestra, "Amigos de la Música" Youth Symphony Orchestra, La Línea de la Concepción Municipal Band, "Amando Herrero" Symphonic Band, Musical Association " La Bohemia", Young Orchestra "Ciudad de la Línea", Orchestra "Málaga Camerata", Partiture Philharmonic Orchestra, Philharmonic Orchestra of Granada, Young Provincial Orchestra of Málaga, Orchestra of the University of Almería, Iberian Sinfonietta and the Young Andalusian Baroque Orchestra.

Recently, he has participated in the XII Music and New Technologies Conference of the XVII Contemporary Music Cycle of the Superior Conservatory of Music of Málaga, as well as in the 2018 Musical Marathon of the “Gonzalo Martín Tenllado” Professional Conservatory of Music of Málaga with an ensemble of cellos. Likewise, it is worth highlighting the concerts recently offered at the Museum of Vélez-Málaga (MVVEL), at the Ocean Views Mental Health Facility in Gibraltar, at the “Vive la Música" Festival in Cómpeta and at the 16th Sound and Música Computing Conference in Málaga. .
