"ROMANTIC AND NATIONALISTS": IBERIAN SINFONIETTA CONTINUES WITH ITS EDUCATIONAL PROPOSAL
Preceded by the programs "Aires of the Baroque" and "Classics par excellence", the next appointment with Iberian Sinfonietta proposes a musical tour in which some of the most relevant composers and works of the Romantic and Nationalist period in the history of the Music. On this occasion and with the same educational objective as the previous concerts, the meeting will take place on Saturday, February 22 at 12:00 p.m. at the Bil Bil Castle in Benalmádena , the orchestra's usual headquarters, under the direction of its principal conductor. The repertoire that can be heard on this occasion, illustrated and commented as on previous occasions by the musicologist Jorge Rodríguez Morata , will be configured by Mendelssohn 's Symphony for Strings No. 10 in B minor , the "Waltz" from the Serenade for Strings, Op. 48 by Tchaikovsky , the "Prelude" from Dvorak's Serenade for Strings, Op. 22 , the "Prelude" from Grieg 's Holberg Suite , Op. Elgar , "The Dargason" from Holst 's St. Paul Suite , Op. 29 No. 2 , the "Court Aria" from Respighi 's Arias and Ancient Dances , the Adagio for Strings, Op. Pizzicato" from Britten 's Simple Symphony, Op. 4 .
Due to the limited capacity of the venue and the successful influx of public that the concerts are having, it is recommended to be there with enough time before the start of the concert.
