Iberian Sinfonietta continues its concert cycle at the Peace Palace in Fuengirola next Saturday, November 25 at 7:00 p.m. Under the direction of Juan Paulo Gómez , musical and artistic director of the orchestra, this second concert of the Community Concerts 23/24 proposes a concert program titled "The Devil Trines Like a Nightingale", configured by works by Giuseppe Tartini , Antón Arenski , Edward Elgar and the absolute premiere of Jorge Grundman .
By Italian composer Giuseppe Tartini (1692-1770), the famous Violin Sonata in G minor, GT 2.g05 "The Devil's Trill" will be performed, in one of its versions for string orchestra, in which we will feature the violinist from Malaga and concertmaster of the Enrique Tudela de Miguel orchestra as soloist. The second work on the program will be the Variations on a Tchaikovsky Theme by Anton Arensky (1861-1906), one of the Russian composer's most famous compositions. Next, the famous Serenade for Strings, Op. 20 by Edward Elgar (1857-1934) will involve us in the most traditional language of English music; ending the program with a work of absolute premiere, On the Back of a Nightingale, Op. 31, concert for flute and string orchestra by the Spanish composer Jorge Grundman (1961-), in which the flutist, also from Malaga and a member of the orchestra, Ángel Pareja Francisco, will be in charge of recreating that flight of the nightingale that the work proposes to us.
Following the traditional concert format proposed by Iberian Sinfonietta , the program will be presented and commented by Jorge Rodríguez Morata, coordinator of the orchestra's pedagogical content.
All the concerts of the cycle, in accordance with the philanthropic ideal of Iberian Sinfonietta and thanks to the commitment and support of Fuengirola City Council , are free to the public, access being controlled until the permitted capacity is reached.
