THE GUITAR, PROTAGONIST IN THE NEXT IBERIAN SINFONIETTA CONCERT

The next Saturday, March 18 at 7:00 p.m. in it Peace Palace from Fuengirola, Iberian Sinfonietta , under the direction of its musical and artistic director Juan Paulo Gómez will offer a concert dedicated to the composers Juan Manuel Cisneros , Mauro Giuliani and Piort Illich Tchaikovsky . This concert is part of the Community Concerts 22-23 , being the fourth of the annual cycle that the orchestra has been developing in this town on the Costa del Sol for three seasons.

With the title Young Spanish Performers , the repertoire will be made up of the world premiere work Danza , for string orchestra, by the Malaga composer Juan Manuel Cisneros . This premiere is based on the collaboration agreement that Iberian Sinfonietta has with the Association of Composers and Performers of Malaga (ACIM). Next, the Concerto for guitar and orchestra No. 1 in A major, Op. 30 by the Italian composer Mauro Giuliani will be performed. This moment will be the one that gives the title to the afternoon concert, since the person in charge of performing the solo part will be the young guitarist Stoyan Paskov , winner of the First Prize in the Higher Grade Category of the Intercentros Melómano 2021 Contest . This competition is organized every year by the Orfeo Foundation at the national level and candidates who carry out their studies at conservatories that offer Professional and Higher Music Education are presented. Finally, the program will close with Souvenir de Florence, Op. 70 by the Russian composer Piort Illich Tchaikovsky . This work was originally created for string sextet and dedicated to the St. Petersburg Chamber Music Society in gratitude for its admission as an Honorary Member. On this occasion, the work will be performed in its version for string orchestra.

As is traditional in the different Communtiy Concerts , the program will be presented and commented by Jorge Rodríguez Morata, coordinator of the orchestra's pedagogical content.

All the concerts of the cycle, in accordance with the philanthropic ideal of Iberian Sinfonietta and thanks to the commitment and support of Fuengirola City Council , are free to the public, access being controlled until the permitted capacity is reached.
