Iberian Sinfonietta is a philanthropic orchestral project that was born in 2019 on the Costa del Sol (Benalmádena) with an educational and cultural objective towards the community, based mainly on the support and dissemination of Classical Music. Thanks to the support of the Hon. Benalmádena City Council, the orchestra locates its headquarters and the concert season in this town, exporting its programs and projects from there to other municipalities in the national territory. The orchestra is directed by Juan Paulo Gómez , founder and musical and artistic director of the group, who stands out for his role as a solidarity artist involved in social projects to help a multitude of charitable organizations. Furthermore, he combines his artistic and charitable work with teaching, being a professor of Orchestral Conducting and Head of the Department of Composition and Conducting at the Málaga Superior Conservatory of Music.
