Vicente Casado

Born in Baeza (Jaén), where he began his musical training, he completed the Professional Degree in Linares with Professor Jesús Viedma, finishing at the Superior Conservatory of Music of Córdoba with the highest qualifications, under the tutelage of Professor Francisco José González. He completes his training, with courses and masterclasses, with Javier Trigos, Michael Lethiec, Javier Balaguer, Corrado Giuffredi, Andreas Sundén, among others.

He belonged to the Andalusian Young Performers Program and later to the Young Orchestra of Andalusia (OJA), receiving master classes from teachers such as Joan Enric Lluna, Dimitri Askkenazy.

At the age of 18, he won a clarinet position in the Jaén Municipal Band where he worked until he won, through the Opposition Competition, the position of Clarinet Professor of the Junta de Andalucía. He held a position as Professor at the Malaga Conservatory of Music for one year.

He collaborates with the Córdoba Orchestra, the Malaga Philharmonic Orchestra, the Netherlands Orchestra among others, being conducted by conductors of the stature of Juanjo Mena and playing in such emblematic venues as the Concertgbouw in Amsterdam.

In 2015 he went to Los Angeles (USA), where he studied and perfected with the prestigious Professor Yehuda Gilad at the Colburn School of Arts.

He is currently a clarinet professor at the "Manuel Carra" Professional Conservatory of Music in Malaga and collaborates with the Malaga Philharmonic Orchestra, being also a member of various chamber groups with Philharmonic teachers, such as the Improvvisato quintet.

It should be noted that he will be Artistic Director of the next Malaga International Clarinet Festival to be held in March 2023.
