Ophélie Duhem

Born in 1982, in Lyon (France). At the age of three he began his violin studies with the “Suzuki” method, where he achieved the highest grades in all grades of the method. At the age of 10 he entered the National Conservatory of Lyon where he studied Violin and Chamber Music specialties, obtaining the higher degree and first prize and honorable mention in both specialties.

In his formative years he achieved several awards in renowned competitions in France such as the Honor Prize at the "Nerini" Competition in Paris (1998), First Prize unanimously by the jury at the higher level at the UFAM International Music Competition. (1997) or the Third Prize of the “Radio France” Contest (1992).

During his orchestral training, he was concertmaster of the youth orchestra of the National Orchestra of Lyon and violin tutti of the French Youth Orchestra and in the orchestra department of the Paris Conservatory.

On a professional level, he was concertmaster of the Lyon Chamber Orchestra and violin tutti of the Réunion Island Symphony Orchestra and the "Ostinato” Orchestra of Paris, Opera Comique.

He has resided in Spain since 2006, where he has been a member, both as concertmaster and violin tutti, of prestigious orchestras such as the Gran Teatro del Liceu Orchestra, the Palau de les Arts "Reina Sofía" Orchestra and the City of Granada Orchestra. , playing with the most prestigious conductors.

In her teaching role, she has been a teacher at the Liceo Conservatory for two years and in different schools in Barcelona and Malaga.

Currently, he combines professional activity in the classical orchestra with modern music, in ensembles and as a soloist, as well as with the electric violin.
