Ignasi Cambra

He is one of the most prominent Spanish pianists on the musical scene.

Hailed by Valery Gergiev as “someone who speaks to me through the piano,” he has performed at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, the Ravinia Festival, and the Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg.

He is a close collaborator of the pianist Maria Joao Pires and has performed with the symphony orchestras of Barcelona, ​​Miami, Vancouver and the Mariinski Theatre, under the baton of directors Valerie Gergiev, Tsung Yeh, Eduardo Marturet, Josep Pons and Salvador Brotons.

Among his appearances in Spain, his performances stand out at the Palau de la Música Catalana, Gran Teatre del Liceu, l'Auditori de Barcelona, ​​the Auditorio Nacional de Música and the Juan March Foundation in Madrid, Auditorio de Zaragoza and others.

He has been invited as a resident artist in La Pedrera and his performances have taken him to Festivals such as Castell de Peralada, the Schubertiada of Vilabertran and the San Sebastián Musical Fortnight.

Ignasi Cambra has studied with Jerome Lowenthal and Matti Raekallio at the Juilliard School, also obtaining diplomas from Indiana University and the Royal Academy of Music in London, as well as an Executive MBA from IESE Business School.

Some of his most important mentors have been Edward Auer, Menahem Presser, Alexander Toradze and Rustem Hayroudinoff.
