Gabriel Robles Ojeda

Born in Malaga (1941), he completed his musical studies at the Superior Conservatory of Music, specializing in piano and obtaining the highest grades.

He is in possession of different awards, among which the "Premio Barranco" stands out, in its annual version (1959) and the Chamber Music Award (1974).

An enthusiastic admirer of the piano work of George Gershwin, he has performed as a piano soloist with the Malaga Provincial Symphony Orchestra and the
Orquesta Ciudad de Málaga's Rhapsody in Blue , the Piano Concerto in F, the Second Rhapsody and the Variations for Piano and Orchestra by the American composer.

It has been conducted by important orchestra conductors, such as: Salvador de Alva, Pedro Gutiérrez, Gerard Devos, Octav Calleya and Odón Alonso, among others.

In 1975 he became part of the teaching staff at the Málaga Superior Conservatory of Music. In all these years, until his retirement, his musical dedication to teaching Musical Language from his position as Full Professor of Solfeggio, by opposition (1986), at the Malaga conservatory is notable. He is the author, both alone and with different colleagues, of twenty books related to the teaching of Musical Language.

In 2017, the Malaga Philharmonic Orchestra premiered the work Fantasía Malagueña for orchestra , which was very well received by the public and specialized critics.

In recent years, it is worth highlighting his contribution to the brotherhood's musical heritage, being the author of countless procession marches.
