Carmen María Elena

At the age of 8 he began his musical studies at the Málaga Superior Conservatory of Music.

From 1999 to 2007 he completed his training at the prestigious Reina Sofía Higher School of Music, in the Cello Chair of Professor Frans Helmerson and Professor Natalia Shakhovskaya.

She has been awarded as most outstanding student in the Chamber Music Chair 2004/2005.

In 2007/2008 he completed a Master's degree at the Escuela Superior de Música di Fiesole (Italy), with professor Natalia Gutman.

Invited to the Santander International Festival in 2001, 2002 and 2007.

From 2006 to 2008 she studied at the International Institute of Chamber Music in Madrid, as a member of the Amadeo Trio with which she has won numerous national chamber music competitions.

Semifinalist in the 57th edition of the ARD Munich International Competition in the Piano Trios category.

From 2006 to 2009 she was invited to Salzburg (Austria) as Violoncello soloist by the Salzburg Chamber Soloist, where she made numerous tours throughout Europe, America and Asia.

In 2009 she was admitted to the Hochschule of Hamburg (Germany) to take a Koncert-Exam Diploma.

From 2014 to the present she is a regular guest of the ONE (Spanish National Orchestra).

In 2017-2018 he completed the Master's Degree in Musical Performance and Research, with a specialty in Musical Research at the International University of Valencia, where in 2016-2017 he also completed the Master's Degree in teacher training for compulsory secondary education, baccalaureate, vocational training and language teaching

In 2019 he taught at the Violoncello Chair of the Superior Conservatory of Music of Córdoba and in 2020 at the Superior Conservatory of Music of Málaga.

He has performed as a soloist in Spain, Italy, France, Portugal, Germany, Austria, Russia, the United States and South America.

He is currently pursuing a doctorate at the Faculty of Sciences of the Complutense University of Madrid.

She is an International GewaMusic and Codabow Artist, as well as founder and artistic director of MalagaCello.
