Alfonso Guerrero

Born in Alcalá de Henares (Madrid), he completed his higher education in Badajoz with Professor Olga A. Vilkomirskaia, graduating with honors. Subsequently, he expanded his training in Madrid (Hiro Kurosaki), the USA (West Virginia University), Hungary (Gábor Soós, Northern Hungary Orchestra) and Belgium (Royal Conservatory of Brussels – French-speaking).

As a chamber music performer, he has played in various groups (especially piano duo and string quartet, as well as modern-fusion music groups) in different venues in Spain, West Virginia and Pennsylvania, Germany and Belgium. Since 2016 he has collaborated on different historical music performance projects in Malaga (Baroque Orchestra of Malaga and Ensemble Maestro Iribarren) and in Italy (Ensemble Il Narvalo).

He began his orchestral practice in student orchestras (City of Alcalá Orchestra, Youth Orchestra of Extremadura, Youth Orchestra of the Community of Madrid, National Youth Orchestra of Spain), later collaborating with different orchestras with which he has performed in venues such as the National Auditorium of Music in Madrid, the Carnegie Hall in Pittsburgh or the Palais des Beaux Arts in Brussels.

Since 2014 he has been mainly dedicated to teaching. He is currently, since 2018, a professor at the Málaga Superior Conservatory of Music.
